South Park: The Stick of Truth game review

boxshot

So, South Park is one of my all time favorite shows. It is absolutely hilarious and out there. One thing I have always wondered is what it would be like to be in South Park. Well, now I know! Stick of Truth is a great game, fantastic if you are a fan of South Park. You start out the game by making a character, which is wonderful since fans always wondered how they would look in the show. You then meet the characters of the show, who are playing a game set in a world like game of thrones (in their imagination). And it is REALLY in depth! Your character is a mute, which they address is weird. You wonder the game preforming quests as whatever class you choose, fighting people in turn based combat and completing puzzles. The amazing part about South Park being such easy animation is the game is identical. You feel as if you are playing a very long episode. The writing is hilarious, every character you could want is there, and it is just the perfect South Park game.

Hitman: Absolution game review

Hitman: Absolution is the fifth installment coming out in 2012. Absolution follows agent 47 after murdering his handler on orders. He then protects a girl that is sought after by the agency, fighting and taking them down through a series of hits. Absolution is one of my all time favorite games, so it is very exciting for me to review it. After the fourth installment, Blood Money, the series had a lot to live up to, and it exceeded my expectations. Absolution takes the “choose your path” aspect of each hit to a whole new level. As always you can run in and take everyone out with a machine gun, or silently make it look like an accident, leaving no trace. The attention to detail in this game is absolutely amazing, I would just walk around maps and explore. I still enjoy going back to my favorite maps and trying to find new ways to do the hit. The online aspect is another great touch. In online you can make your own contracts and have other people play and rate them. I don’t do ratings, but if I did the re-playability would be 100%!

Star Wars The Old Republic game review

A game review! Weird, right? I pretty much just review whatever type of entertainment I am using currently. Right now, It’s The West wing, which I already reviewed. This game, which I’m doing now. And An Abundance Of Katherine’s, expect that in the future! Star Wars The Old Republic, or SWTOR, is an MMO game made by Bioware in the Star Wars universe. I played KOTOR briefly a long time ago, but I was always a big fan of three things. World of Warcraft, Star Wars, and Bioware games. They all combined! The amazing thing about Bioware games is that the story is so great, you decide the ending, and feel that your actions and conversations matter. This game is absolutely the same in that sense, and I love it. The problem is though, is that it’s an MMO. MMO’s are all about the end game, and interacting with other players. Sure I had more fun getting to the end game than any other MMO, but that is where the fun slowed down a lot. I just went back and made a new character. I played a little bit of every character, but I loved two of them. The sith warrior, and the smuggler! I could write a 9 page review just on the different characters, but I can’t. So, I will just say this, every single character is awesome in their own awesome way. No matter what you choose, you will have a great time. In the end it is a great game, but a bad MMO.
